The facelifted Mitsubishi Mirage made its first official presence early this month at the Manila International Auto Show 2016. The Mirage has managed to fascinate small car buyers and has made quite a household name with high fuel efficiency and better handling. These qualities along with its sleek body design has contributed a lot in making Mirage one of the most adored cars in its segment.
Already available in the markets of neighboring countries, this facelifted Mirage was presented to the Filipinos with refreshed looks, new interior fittings and the most innovative as well as latest technologies. In other words, this new Mirage is a total departure from the previous models as its has got a completely modernised front cluster. Up front, it has received a new housing for the headlights with the new bi-xenon headlights and LED fog lamps. Its 15-inch alloy wheels and a much wider honeycomb grille with a brand's insignia exudes a sporty persona. The tail light cluster have also got redesigned with a new LED rear combination lamps.

Aboarding the new Mirage, you will surely feel at home with its upgraded interior. New Piano black chrome trims and leather upholstery in white and black ooze out an elegance feeling which makes the ambient all the more serene. With the features like start/stop button, all-new 6.5-inch touch-screen infotainment system and automatic climate control, this facelifted model is presented as the upmarket vehicle in its segment.
That’s not all, along with its styling and comfort, few upgrades have also been made underneath the facelifted model. A new engine line-up has been made aligned with the new model with an option of 1.0-litre unit and 1.2-litre three cylinder engine.
Both engine options are rated at 70 hp and 79hp respectively which has been tuned to offer better performance and efficiency.
However, the precise launch date of the 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage has not been confirmed yet but it will surface the Philippines market with a starting price of PHP 553,000.
