The much awaited crossover from the house of Japanese automaker has finally landed on the Philippines soil after the Thanksgiving party organized by Mazda at Whitespace Manila 2314 Chino Roces Ave Extension, Makati. Yes, Mazda CX-3 has been finally launched at a starting price of PhP 1,280,000. Based on the “Kodo – Soul Of Motion” design, it is the fifth model in the Mazda’s lineup to follow this design theme.

With CX-3 in the market, the subcompact crossover segment, which is currently being dominated by Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V and Nissan Juke has got another member in the segment with slightly higher pricing. But, surely the higher price tag is well justified with the features CX-3 offers. The overall dimensions of the crossover measure 4,2755 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,535 mm in height. The wheelbase of 2,570 mm gives a significant cabin space and a ground clearance of 155 mm surely helps in some off-roading activities.
Under the hood, it is equipped with a 1,988cc in-line-four Skyactiv-G gasoline engine which delivers maximum power of 146 hp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 192 Nm at 2800 rpm. The base variant, Mazda CX-3 Pro is priced at PhP 1,280,000 while the CX-3 Sport variant is tagged at PhP 1,380,000. The top end variant, CX-3 AWD Activ holds a price tag of PhP 1,480,000 and is equipped with the i-Activ all-wheel drive system which is worth the pricing the manufacturer has decided.
